Getting Started Workshop

Content:

The Getting Started Workshop is an informal workshops which will introduce you to some of the basic vocabularly (organised in topic groups rather than stages as in the formal training) to help you communicate using Makaton.

We use games, songs and activities to develop your use of these words in order to put together short phrases and hold simple conversations.

Duration:

The Workshop lasts for half a day (3 hours).

Entry criteria:

Participants do not need any prior knowledge of Makaton as this is an introductory workshop.

Study materials:

You will receive copies of the signs, powerpoint slides used in the workshop and a certificate of attendance.

Cost:

The workshop costs £50 for the three hours and includes the study materials listed above as well as refreshments.
