Although we are a small and compact unit we can offer a variety of different facilities at The Omnibus Project. These include:

The Sensory Story Lending Library is a space where you can come and enjoy an interactive reading session, sit and enjoy your own reading time or join one of our holiday / weekend sessions. Story boxes can be hired out for either 2 weeks or a month and then swapped for another once you have finished with it. Click HERE to find out more about this service 

We have disabled changing facilities (this also includes a baby changing area) which has an adult changing bed and mobile hoist. The room also has a hygiene station with gloves, aprons, wipes and sanitary bags for disposal. There are also disabled grab rails, a toddler step and family toilet seat (part of the normal toilet) available.

This is a flexible and general purpose area which can be laid out according to the session being delivered. This could be used for art and craft sessions, music sessions, sensory sessions or birthday parties. Tables can be raised to accomodate larger height wheelchairs or other supportive seating equipment.

This area can be used for training sessions, meetings and rehearsals but is another flexible space which can be laid out according to the session being run. The upstairs area can be hired separate to the remainder of the unit for the cost of £10 per hour with access to refreshment facilities which can be placed upstairs for individual sessions should another group be taking place downstairs. If you wish to hire the whole venue the cost is £20 per hour. 

This is also where the Teacher Resource bank is located and the resource making workstation.

There is a small kitchen area available for light refreshments which has a fridge, microwave, mini oven, toaster, tea urn, plates, cups and cutlery (including plastic items for children). If you wish to hold a birthday party at the unit we advise preparing as much food in advance as possible as space is limited.
